Survive Valentine’s As A Single

Hey you guys! I hope you are all doing well!

SO, Another year goes and I am single again. It is quite comical at this point tbh.  I have people talking to me on dating apps and after two days I don’t seem so interesting I guess. Anyways Valentine’s Day is simply a day that is meant to be spent with people you love, doesn’t necessarily have to be a partner or significant other. But since a lot of people will be with their romantic partners, the single person in us needs to find a way to be entertained. Here are some ways how you can celebrate this Valentine ’s Day if you’re on the side of the singles.

Post earlier this year : 8 Things 2018 Taught Me

  1. Firstly in 2019, Valentine’s Day is right in the middle of the week, i.e. work day. Treat yourself to some nice lunch or nice clothes, just to give some love to yourself. And by the time you get home the day is done.
  2. Do something that you LOVE. For example if you LOVE drawing or painting, pick up the tools to start it. You never know that the passion that was once there could come flooding and make you fall in love with it.
  3. Visit your parents or grandparents. These are people who would love you no matter what. They do not care if you are crashing their Valentine’s Day plan. They would be happy to see you. If you cannot visit, give them a call.
  4. Gift yourself something. If you like flowers buy yourself some. If you like makeup get something that you’ve wanted to get for a long time.  This year I decided to gift myself a Rose Quartz Facial roller and she’s a beauty.
  5.  Book in a spa session. Although this one you might have to book in advance. But give your body some love.

I hope that no matter what, you have a lovely day. There are people who love you even if they aren’t your significant other.

  1. Nice post here Amanda, and you have provided some great tips on how singles can enjoy this coming Valentines Day. Valentines Day is a day to celebrate love, and you are right in saying that Family should come first in this department, because it is them that love us truly and deeply. Another person that should come first, even before Family, is God. God loves us deeply, even more than our family does. God’s love is the greatest love. I find that most people do not explore the realm of God’s love, but I can assure you that God’s love is real. God is able to love you back to life. His love is divine and there is joy in being in his presence. Not exploring God’s love is like not eating the sweetest part of a fruit. Even when we find the right person for us, God still needs to have the number 1 spot in our lives. He loves us the most, he deserves that spot, and he does not share his spot and glory with anyone. A person who has God has everything. You see, God has the power to guide and direct you to your husband. It is God who knows where the perfect soulmate for you is. All you need to do is first build a relationship with God, then, make your requests known to him. God is real and prayers work. May God’s blessings be with you sister. ❤ ❤
